MATHEMATICAL MODELLING IN ENGINEERING

SCOPE & TOPICS

The Instituto de Matemática Multidisciplinar at the Universitat Politècnica de València has sponsored a Conference Series on the Interdisciplinary applications of mathematics to problems of social interest, engineering, biology and medicine. By meeting annually with specialist in Biology, Medicine, Psychology, Sociology and Engineering we search to create a forum where realistic models for real problems could be developed, tested and transferred to scientific and technological areas.

Works on any cross-disciplinary area between mathematics, engineering, medicine of sociology are welcome. Special sessions will be programmed for the following main topics:

  1. SOCIAL MODELLING
  2. FINANCIAL MATHEMATICS
  3. MATHEMATICAL MODELLING IN MEDICINE AND EPIDEMIOLOGY
  4. INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINES
  5. MODELLING IN TRANSPORTATION
  6. MATHEMATICAL MODELLING IN ENGINEERING
  7. NUMERICAL METHODS


 

Dates and Venue:
The Conference will be celebrated from July 18th (Monday) until July 20th (Wednesday) in the halls of the Polytechnic City of Innovation. For travel and lodging information follow the link.

Our Institute:
The Institute for Multidisciplinary Mathematics is a research institute located at the Polytechnic City of Innovation.
A scientific park and research pool of the Universitat Politècnica de València.
Our staff is composed of 50 researchers, and 10 Ph. D. students.
We develop our research in many interdisciplinary areas.
